Websters, online dictionary defines it this way: to prove, or show to be just; to show or have significant legal reason; there are a lot more words there, but this is one of interest. one of the archaic definitions is absolve, further defined by: to set free of an obligation; to remit, by absolution. Another (3b) definition of justify, is to make even, referring to margins on a typed page. But, I like the 'make even' in relationship to absolved, by the blood of Christ.

Blessings to you, Robyn. So thankful that I'm justified in Christ's sight but it's only by Christ's blood that I'm clean. He sees me "just as if" I hadn't sinned.
